Afrocat - An inspiring Modelling Agency

Afrocat is a Modelling and grooming organization/agency formed in February 2009, which provides opportunities for female youth in Namibia to engage in Fashion design, modelling, events management and also caters for models within the Namibian entertainment Industry. 

This organization has stood ground since its inception as one of the most aspiring and well managed modelling agencies in the country. In the last four years the Namibian catwalk or Modelling  sphere has seen a lot of modelling agencies emerging but a lot of them fading along the way but as for Afrocat, every year is a different experience, as they creatively implement newer activities and strategies to make them glide on. One of those activities include travelling expeditions to other parts of the African countries to get exposed to other youth organizations and also to broaden the spectrum of modelling for their organization. ''Travelling to Zanzibar has exposed me to a lot of things, people work hard there and they are very tolerant. Says Mia'', the energetic twenty year old model at Afrocat. 

One aspect though according to Bittler Director at Afrocat is that Modelling is very neglected around Africa and that at least his Organization stood out to be one of the hardworking, not only in Namibia but also in the SADC region. ''Teaming up with those agencies just showed us how much advanced Namibia is in the modelling sector, and  we played as mentors all the time''..

Afrocat are also busy on the Netball court. Afrocat's Netball is a new initiative which aims to put the models in shape and for fitness purposes,they also aim to compete in the National Netball league, despite lack of sponsorships. They are now actively involved in the Namibian Netball League, with fresh skills and energy on the netball court, afrocat is already proving to be competetative amongst other Netball household names.
