Jar Jar - Livens up Free Your Mind + Video

Jar Jar Kalenga is  the only Female comedian on the Free your mind Comedy team thus far.How she started doing comedy was not what she had planned.

’’ It started off very weirdly,I went to this Spoken Word Auditions but couldn’t get through due to complications with the Organizers.’’ The Excited Jar Explains. It was at the same event that she than met Chicken,who is dubbed as the Free Your Mind Co - founder. '' Chicken gave Birth to me being on stage,he called me up and introduced me to the Free your Mind team last year,after a flop with Spoken word’’

Real name Ndiyana Kalenga, was born 23 years ago in Okahao but grew up in the southern coastal town of Oranjemund. She is currently Graduating at the Polytechnic Of Namibia with Majors in Economics.She explains that her father forced her to study Economics because her than desired field of Study ''Journalism'' could become deadly.So she opted for Economics. Jar explains that being on stage as a new comer can be very hectic.

''When you are on stage,its like you are in control,mistakes are considered a joke so it's a bonus for both me and the spectators''

Her biggest highlight was when she was elected comedian of the night at one of Free your Minds Shows in May of last year and from there the Energies became endless. Asked about how it feels to be on stage in different venues,Jar states that sometimes its weird because one is used to one Venue and that sometimes the mental state changes. ''I Had made one show at Zenso Lounge and i could remember only one person laughing from the Crowds,that was very embarrassing''

According to Jar,Free your Mind is currently doing an excellent Job.But the only problem faced by the initiative is that it only operates in Windhoek.''If we spread out,than this Free Your Mind thing is Gonna blow out''. She states.

Word has it that the Free Your Mind Organizers are planning on tackling the Northern Markets,Oshakati,Ongwedhiva and further on.

''The jokes make you aware of your own Surrounding and most are all Educational,most topics are taken from current affairs circulating in the papers,be it political or entertainment'' Kalenga states.
