Chi – Cho Talks about plans for 2011 emphasises on Education

Cho-Cho Makes it clear, ’I want to go out to Schools to Educate Children on  issues that affect the Nation on a daily basis. I want to team up with all local artists and try to educate our fans, through musical means’’ The Vibrant artist says.

Real name Namupolo Willem, Cho-Cho is a Windhoek Born Kwaito Artist who stormed into the music Industry not long ago. With two albums under his belt, the somewhat ambitious artist has a very energetic stage appearance who surely entertains to his fullest. He is currently promoting his second Album entitled ‘Omfiona Iha Kofa’, which translates to ’A poor Man never sleeps’. The album was released November 2010.The only famous or long serving Artist/s to feature on the Album is Allen Jonathan who collaboes on the Dance track 9 ‘Matisa’ and Ngutti Fruit who resurrects his overpowering Kwaito Voice on the number 12 track ‘Peace of Cake’, who by all means went ‘AWOL’ from the industry for more than five or six years perhaps?Until his pre launch Party held at the Bank Windhoek Theatre School in early October last year. The talented Ngutti fruit still needs to promote his musical works,as his projects remain unheard outside Windhoek.Read more on Cho-Cho Below.
Cho-Cho welcomes other talented upcoming artists CJ, Yola, Amany, Engene and Nyuuwan, to the Music industry who surely can become our next stars. Overall, I give the CD a deserving 5/7, because it has a matured listening pleasure. A grown up can relate to it too, with ‘Wanangula’ track which also features ‘4 Engene’. The 'I wanna Know'  track is surely for the ladies and for the more laid back. Amany fills in the gaps with her deeper smooth voice.A voice not heard in the industry before.

Cho-Cho say he went on as far as Okongo up north to promote the CD and also performed during beauty pageants, one to mention was the Miss Outapi Beauty pageant in Outapi. ‘Now people know me up north what Iam capable of doing on stage’.The sultry ‘passionate’ artist states.

The show Stopper plans on reaching out to School communities in different towns of Namibia, to educate young children on the issues of Drug and Alcohol Abuse, The issue on dating Sugar Daddies, especially in young School girls. ‘This can be achieved by joining hands with other artists, by showing the nation that when we artists are unified, we can go out of there and make a difference, and teach our kids and Fans’.

Asked why he thinks other artist give up on the music industry, ‘When you quit something you have started, than you are a failure’.
