Mappz - walking on the "RED CARPET"

Mappz real  name Matthew Panduleni Elago Kapofi  is a lyrically gifted Namibian hip hop artist,who has many ways of killing a beat,either it be a House or Kwaito beat,he just knows how to slosh it.This is  evident from his many mixatpe singles and studio projects that he has worked on and many projects with other established lokal Kwaito and  HipHop Stars.......

Mappz started making music at the tender age of 14. "My elder brother Nestor used to play beats from his computer,so i would freestyle and create songs on them" Mappz Recalls. .After moving to khomasdal  he befriended Kondja Ngodji,who is now also a  well known celebrated Kwaito hitmaker. The pair hooked up and were introduced to Fredro,the Lowkey records Manager."We started working with him on the Koek en Jam LP,Qonja's First studio album which is considered as platinum.Mappz Collaborated on songs like 54321,Koek en Jam and weekend Special,which were than hits on local Radio and Jukeboxes.Mappz also worked on a song called Ngakaike on Qonja's second album release Mdakadaka. Apart from that Mappz never released any Album under Lowkey Productions,reasons up to this are not known.

Mappz is currently recording his first studio Album entitled "Red Carpet" .On the new album Mappz will feature a number of well established artists such as his left hand man Qonja, Kamasutra, Young Cash, Gazza, Tesh, Mekox, Cavour and Lucciano. He also has a handful of Producers working with him on the much anticipated LP like Becoming Phill,Kapro,Fredro,Psyon,Willy G and Christian Polloni.

"I am planning to launch the album late October if all goes to plan. My experience working with all these talented individuals has been awesomely unforgettable".The superstar states.

Mappz is one of a few Artists that has more features on various tracks,that have become hits compared to any other Kwaito artist in Namibia in recent times. The Paradox Swagg Remix, Tesh-Magnifico, Qonja-Kala Moskola, Gazza-Revelatios 3:16, Mekox-Danasho Remix, Skoko-What it is, Blacksheep-Dreams & Do it for Kwaito, Ees-This is life, Cavour-It’s only right,and the list goes on.

Mappz is pursuing his studies at the University of Namibia and also Presents Lounge VIP on Radio Enrgy,Mondays to fridays between 12.00 - 15.00,and also the Saturday Breakfast Show every saturday morning from 06-00 - 10.00.

Mappz mostly enjoys watching movies, listening to music, playing soccer & snooker.
