Last weekend 29 May 2010 at Fursteinhoff Hotel in Windhoek, Zambezi Modelling agency hosted it's preliminary semi-finals national auditions for all girls who applied in all 13 regions of Namibia , with the aim of selecting 14 participants for the National finals penciled for August, the Competion was tough as 40 girls applied for Miss SADC but only 14 girls made it to the National finals.Zambezi Modeling Agency will be coordinating Miss Southern Africa International-Namibia event on Saturday, 28 August 2010 at Safari Hotel, Windhoek and regional finals on Saturday, 27 November 2010 at Windhoek Country Club and Resort, the mission for Miss Southern Africa is to promote cohesion, integration and tourism in Southern African Development Community through Modeling, the pageant will also introduce modeling as an entrepreneurial route for models involved in the project.
Miss Southern Africa International is a world class international pageant meant to celebrate the beauty
of Southern African women and promote cooperation between the 14 participating countries in the SADC region, the pageant will also advocate for the promotion of Tourism destination in the region to the world because it will be covered by Multinational Television stations across the globe, The Modeling completion constituting of 28 gorgeous ladies players in the Namibian sector with an opportunity to market their products to audience. The venture is designed to showcase the beauty , talents , intelligence and to develop and to promote national leadership of Namibian women aged 17 -26 years, with the winner to represent Namibia at the next Miss Southern Africa International Regional Finals, The crowned Miss Southern Africa Namibia will be invested on a mission of promoting the Namibian culture and welfare of the Children.
"Zambezi Modeling Agency is a franchise holder for these prestigious event, therefore since some of our Models will take part in this event, we decided to outsource independent judges from corporate companies and Media partners for transparency" enlightened Mr.Simubali,who is Head of Zambezi & also National Director for the Pageant
