Blend & Equipped Road Incident

The Blend entourage left Windhoek at about 02h30 in the early hours of Saturday morning as they headed for a major performance at the Annual Crayfish Festival which took place in Luderitz where they were scheduled to perform on the 11th April 2009.

The entourage comprised of the Blend Crew and the Dance Africa Winner/Owner of Equipped Dance Academy, Stanley Mareka, as well as a close relatives of his. With anticipation for the show that was scheduled for later that night, unfortunately accidents do happen, but to gods grace everyone on the nearly fatal voyage escaped with minor injuries.

At about 03h30am, 30 kilometers on the road south of Rehoboth, a warthog ran into the roadway and hampered the drivers ability to control the vehicle, luckily enough instead of rolling over immediately, the vehicle swerved on the bridge and couldn’t find support anymore and rolled 3 times,10 meters from the road. The accident as reported did not delay the crew from reaching their destination and, they gave a mind blowing performance at the much anticipated and well attended crayfish festival.

Lazpak TV caught up with the Blend Crew on their immediate arrival in Windhoek, only to be surprised they were all on their two feet…

A mind-boggling encounter indeed judging from what was left of the vehicle they were traveling in. I guess there is a sense of justification after all to why they are called the 911-Emergency Crew.
